Harold M. Shipley
Harold M. Shipley, 66, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior, on August 8, 2004, in Glendale, Arizona. Harold was born on November 28, 1937, in E. Rochester, PA. He moved to Arizona with his parents in 1946 and lived here for over 57 years. The family moved to the Fowler school district where Harold attended grade school and Tolleson High School. He also attended Phoenix College and the University of Arizona. In 1960, he married Maxine Hayes and they had two children, Susan and David. Harold worked for McKesson Chemical for seven years and became warehouse supervisor. Later he and Maxine started their own business in Glendale, Arizona; a masonry building supply company called Circle S Building Materials and then L & M Building Materials, Inc. They owned and operated the business for almost 25 years and then sold it and retired in 1999. Harold was a member of the First Christian Church in Phoenix, Arizona and he and Maxine were married for 44 years. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was loved dearly and will be missed forever. Harold was preceded in death by his father, Harold K. Shipley. He is survived by his mother Freeda Shipley, his wife Maxine, his daughter Susan Zobott, his son David (wife Susan) and four grandchildren: Victoria Zobott, Samantha Zobott, Isaiah Shipley and Elisabeth Shipley. He has two brothers and one sister: Alvin Shipley (wife Pat), Charles Shipley (wife Cindy) and June Giles (Husband Lonnie).
Services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2004, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel at 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. The visitation will be Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 1'oclock p.m. The funeral services will follow at 2 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2004.
