Diet
Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you." (Genesis 1:29)

Note: Do not ever Over Eat  (“The more you over eat, the sooner you die”)

BREAKFAST
Upon rising; drink 8 ounces of warm lemon water (half lemon squeezed in water). 30 minutes later one tablespoon of Green-Barley powder - either dry and let it dissolve in the mouth, or in a couple ounces of distilled water at room temperature or mixed with carrot/vegetable juice if desired. No cooked food, or food containing fiber at this meal, so as not to stop or hinder the cleansing process, as the body eliminates accumulated toxins.
* Barley-green can be mixed with 8 oz of fresh carrot/vegetable juice, if desired.
* Mix flax seed oil with the carrot/vegetable juice (approximately 1 teaspoon per 16 oz of juice).

MORNING SUPPLEMENTS
Take morning supplements after drinking barley-greens and vegetable juice. Eat a piece of fruit or the fruit and nut bowl described below, with the supplements if desired.

MID-MORNING
An eight-ounce glass of carrot juice. If juice is not available, a piece of juicy fruit would be second best.
* And if desired a fruit and nut bowl (chopped apples, bananas, strawberries, peaches, mangoes, almonds, pecans, raisins, dates, figs, ground flax seeds, poor soy milk or almond milk or multi-grain milk on it)

LUNCH
Before lunch, another tablespoon of BarleyMax mixed with carrot/vegetable juice if desired, as at breakfast. Thirty minutes later, it's either a raw vegetable salad (mix in raw garlic and onions) or raw fruit. This also is an all-raw meal, as cooked food is limited to the evening meal.
* A hand full of almonds may also be eaten with lunch.
* Fresh guacamole and salsa are also an excellent way to spice up a meal.
* Homemade Salad Dressing: Olive oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, spices, sea salt, herbs, garlic, onions, lime, cilantro, peppers, avocado: mix in blender.

MID AFTERNOON SUPPLEMENTS:
Take mid-afternoon supplements after lunch.

MID-AFTERNOON
An eight-ounce glass of carrot juice. If juice is not available, some carrot or celery sticks would be second best.

SUPPER
Before supper, another teaspoon of Barley-Greens mixed with carrot/vegetable juice if desired, as at breakfast and lunch. Thirty minutes later a LARGE green salad comprised of leaf lettuce (never head lettuce as it has very little nutritional value) along with a variety of vegetables. After the salad comes the only cooked food of the day--the 15% cooked food portion allowed on The Hallelujah Diet. This could be a baked potato, brown rice, QUINUA, steamed veggies, whole grain pasta, or a veggie sandwich on whole grain bread, baked sweet potato or squash. (If desired, lunch and supper can be switched, but only one meal should contain cooked food on any given day.)
* A handful of almonds or other nuts (pecans, filberts, brazil, walnuts) can be eaten with supper.
* Roasted garlic and onions and chili peppers are great for this meal.
* Grilled salmon or tuna or halibut ever once in a while (maybe once a week). However, it would be best to not consume any animal products, especially if you have a serious illness.
* Fresh guacamole and salsa are also an excellent way to spice up a meal.
* Tomato soup is good for supper (Lycopene in tomatoes is a powerful antioxidant and helps prevent prostate cancer).
* Boiled artichoke with homemade salad dressing is a good treat for supper.

EVENING SUPPLEMENTS
 Take evening supplements after supper.
EVENING
If desired, a piece of juicy fruit or a glass of freshly extracted apple or pear juice may be consumed.
* Frozen fruit puree is an excellent desert. (Can be easily made with the GREEN STAR Juicer)

CARROT AND VEGETABLE JUICE
* For general maintenance of a healthy person, at least 4 - eight oz. glasses of carrot/vegetable juice should be consumed each day.
* For someone with a serious health problem, at least 12 to 16 - eight oz. glasses of carrot/vegetable juice should be consumed each day.

VARIETY OF FOODS
An important rule to remember is that you need a variety of fruits and vegetables. Strive to eat many different kinds of fruits and vegetables and eat them when they are in season and as fresh as possible.

THE REASON FOR A RAW FOODS DIET
The reason one should maintain at least 80 to 90 percent ratio of raw foods is that when food is cooked, almost all its nutritional value is destroyed. Cooking destroys all enzymes. Approximately 83 percent of all vitamins are destroyed by cooking, and the heat changes protein into a form that cannot be assimilated. Cooking also reduces the organic minerals our body needs into an inorganic, unusable form.
In addition to diet, a lifestyle that includes exercise is an essential element to healthy living. Each day one should perform stretching exercises, deep breathing exercises, and at least an hour of aerobic exercise.

I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Thy wonders. I will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High.
 (Psalm 9:1-2)
